James Lewis (Director)

After gaining a degree in electronic engineering at the University of London, James joined the electronics distribution group, Memec, as a semiconductor specialist. In 1992, he co-founded Oxford Semiconductor Ltd, a UK-based fab-less semiconductor company and headed up all its sales and marketing activities. As worldwide successes followed, James set up Oxford Semiconductor Inc in California to support the rapidly growing US customer base. Oxford Semiconductor grew to become a global chip company with over 150 employees. After returning to the UK, James formed Parallaxis to apply his experience and knowledge to enable start-up and small hi-tech companies to realize their full potential.

 
Tony Tooth (Director)

After graduating from Oxford University with a degree in mathematics, Tony’s career took him to positions in sales and business development in major electronics and semiconductor organizations including National Semiconductor, Samsung and ST Microelectronics at locations in UK and Germany. Tony’s roles encompass sales and marketing, supply-chain management, and driving growth though sales team management. With a Cranfield MBA focussed on SME's, Tony made a career change to focus on business analysis and planning for small and medium sized high-technology companies, and became co-founder of Parallaxis in 2005. Tony is also an Associate Lecturer with the Economics and Strategy department of Oxford Brookes university Business School.

 
Gordon Peilow (Associate)

Gordon graduated in Jurisprudence from Oxford University, and subsequently qualified as a solicitor. He has held senior legal positions in industry culminating in running BT’s overseas litigation department where he advised on commercial legal issues, contracts and agreements, and contested worldwide cases to protect BT’s intellectual property in the fields of telecoms, satellites, computing and software. Gordon now provides legal services to Parallaxis and our clients on a consultancy basis, subject to usual Law Society constraints.
